Trust Him

Key Bible Verse: A man’s steps are established by the Lord, and He takes pleasure in his way. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord holds his hand. (Psalm 37:23-24, HCSB)

Dig Deeper:

The way [God] providentially twists, tweaks, moves, maneuvers, and meanders is beyond our intellectual capacity to understand, decipher, or discern.

That’s why faith is so important in following God. He asks us to trust him because, like Joseph in chains behind a camel walking through the desert, [life] doesn’t always look the way we think [it] should look to get us to our dream.

God is the master weaver, and things are rarely as they appear. That is why it is so critical to walk by faith and not by sight. It is impossible to please God apart from faith because faith is the hallmark of providence. If you are on a detour that seems to have taken you on another detour, which only rerouted you to another detour, have faith. Believe and obey. Stay in the race. Stay on the road. Stay in the car. God has a way of getting you, like he got Joseph, to the palace or the place he has destined for you.

Trust him, you may actually be closer than you think.
