Free to Worship

Humbled by God's Glory

Key Bible Verse: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honour and glory and power, for ever and ever!” (Revelation 5:13, NIV)

Dig Deeper: Revelation 5

Worship is the only fitting response when you see what Jesus did to bring you from death to life. When you see who you were and who you are apart from the grace of God, it simultaneously produces humility and dignity in you. It sets you free to be humble by telling you how messed up you are and yet how loved you are at the same time. It allows you to stand on the endless horizon of God’s glory and lift your hands in praise because you get to be a speck on the everlasting spectrum of his majesty.

It’s been all about Jesus all along.

Come humble yourself in worship before the Eternal One and remember that though you are a mere breath, your breath matters. Stand amazed that though you are a vapour, your vapour can count for something infinite. Come join in with the song of eternity past and eternity future – “Not to us, oh LORD, but to your name be the glory!”
