Real Satisfaction

Key Bible Verse: You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11, ESV)

Dig Deeper: Psalm 16

[The goal] of trusting God’s design for sex within marriage isn’t to have the most euphoric, toe-curling wedding night; it’s to have the most passionate, intimate life after the wedding with the one you love.

Remember, as Christians we don’t wait for a spouse and for sex to start enjoying life; we live completely satisfying lives from the moment we give our lives to and trust in Jesus. While there is nothing wrong with desiring a spouse as well as sex, since they are good gifts from God, our identity and joy are founded upon the multitude of blessings that God has already lavished upon us, not on the few he has not.

As long as you remain unmarried, and if you do get married, my hope is that you will embrace God’s design for your sexuality in order to experience true sexual joy and satisfaction. Either way, the solution is always to enjoy God and others and to embrace his way as the only and best way to experience true joy and satisfaction.
