Key Bible Verse: Never stop praying. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Dig Deeper: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
If we learn to pray when things are good, then we’ll be dialed in when things get bad. Yeah, we’ll have questions and pain, but the relationship will be solid.
If you’re in a relationship like I am, you’re constantly relearning the need to remind your loved one how great they are. I truly think my wife is all that and a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, but sometimes I assume she knows that from me.
So instead of saying, “Wow, this is a great meal!” I’m learning to say, “Sweetheart, you are so awesome, thank you for cooking for me, and thank you for being my companion. You’re the love of my life and the person I want to walk through life with.”
Pray when things are good. Pray when things are normal. Pray when the you-know-what hits the fan. Pray throughout the messiness of life.
All the time, in every circumstance, put your prayer and your praise together.
